The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI is currently recruiting for a full-time Pediatric Pulmonologist to join its well-established group of ten physicians. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a collegial academic medical center and work in an established Children’s Hospital ranked as one of the best in the US.
The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is committed to excellent patient care, teaching, and research. There is an accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center which provides comprehensive care for >200 CF patients. There is a comprehensive Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center, including a state-of-the-art 8-bed pediatric sleep laboratory accredited by the AASM. There are active programs in asthma, technology-dependent children, apnea/BPD, pulmonary hypertension, bronchoscopy, and pulmonary function testing. We participate in multidisciplinary aerodigestive, neuromuscular disease, sickle cell, and pulmonary hypertension programs.
Division staff members include advanced practice nurses, pulmonary nurses, and research coordinators, as well as excellent nutritional, respiratory therapy, psychology, and social service support. We have an active pediatric pulmonary fellowship program with 1-2 fellows per year. Our sleep faculty takes an active role in the ACGME-sponsored sleep fellowship.

The Division’s faculty is involved in clinical research as a TDN site through the CF Foundation and within the Children’s Research Institute (CRI) of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has a pediatric Translational Research Unit to facilitate clinical and translational research.

The successful candidate can have either a primarily clinical interest, or a research focus. Qualified candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, have successfully completed a pediatric residency, and be board certified/board eligible in pediatric pulmonology. Certification in sleep medicine would be a plus. The successful candidate will receive a faculty appointment on the clinical or tenure track in the Department of Pediatrics. Rank will be dependent on qualifications. Start-up funding and protected time are available as indicated.
